While there are some full-time/long-term residents, most are for campers. The campground is 50A/FHU and most sites are level, though some are fairly close to each other. The CG offers DISH satellite coverage and decent OTA TV with an omni antenna. Campground WiFi reached 0.85 MB/s, but data rates seemed to vary greatly, and often dropped to zero. AT&T had coverage with up to 3.5 MB/s. The property has a nice 1 mile loop trail around it. Overall, Dan River Campground & River Adventures is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Dan River Campground is a peaceful and comfortable camping site located in Stoneville, NC. The campground is owned and operated by Nick and Anne Soudas. The campground offers a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, hiking, and foraging. There is also a pool and playground for children. The campground has limited tent camping due to the amount of pop-up and other small towed campers. There is only one tent campsite available at any given time. For large groups, there is a primitive group tent camping area. The campground offers RV campsites that can be booked online.
