GenieSummary

Cedar Point Campground in Swansboro, NC is a well-kept national forest campground with 38 paved, level sites that have 20/30/50A electric, table, fire ring, and lantern posts. The campground has a small boat ramp for kayaks, canoes, and jon boats on a beautiful salt marsh with a kayak and canoe trail through the marsh. The short hiking trails over bridges through the marsh are perfect for nature-lovers. The nature trail has nice walkways over the marsh, and you can walk from the campground to the picnic area and boat launch. It is outside of Swansboro and offers easy access to beaches, dining, and activities associated with enjoying the Outer Banks. Most sites are very spacious with large level tent pads, and some sites are huge! You can park even a 45 motorhome with a car trailer hooked up and still have room to park a car in front of it. The sites are paved and level, surrounded by grass, trees, and varying amounts of shade, and most outside loop spots back to and in the woods. Campers report hearing some military activity in the area, also known as the sounds of freedom. Although this campground is not in line with current camping trends, it offers exceptionably reasonable prices as it only has electric hookups.
