What others are saying about this campground
Lake Norman State Park in Troutman, NC is a forested park that is located on the shores of Lake Norman. The campground is open except for Christmas Day, and offers a variety of amenities. The RV sites are well-maintained, paved, and come with a picnic table, and fire ring. Hiking trails are accessible from the campground, and the beautiful little cabins are available for rent. The bathhouse is top-notch, clean, and well-maintained. The park staff is very attentive and responds well to inquiries and feedback from campers. The one downside is that some beaches along the trails have trash, but other than that, hiking trails and Lakeshore Trail offer a great outdoor adventure. Although the park is large and hilly, it is peaceful and a great place to camp. However, some facilities like the swimming beach, vending machine, bike trails, and water spigot are a mile away. The steep parking pad may cause some leveling problems, but the tent pad is level.
