GenieSummary
There is a massive fire ring, two picnic tables, and flat ground for up to six tents. The campground is surprisingly clean, with a bath house nearby. Unfortunately, the camp host is known to be very strict about quiet hours, and can be heard yelling at campers for talking at a low volume. The campground is minutes away from the Uwharrie National Forest and Badin Lake, and is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are lots of great trails for walking and off-roading, as well as fishing opportunities. The roads are bumpy and there are a few potholes, so it is recommended to bring a Jeep or SUV rather than a car. The sites are reasonably large and offer a picnic table, firepit, charcoal grill and metal hanging pole for lanterns, etc. Reserve well in advance if you desire a site, as these campgrounds fill quickly.
