From The Campground
Uwharrie National Forest Campgrounds offer a variety of camping options for visitors. Arrowhead Campground has 50 sites for tent or RV camping, with electrical hookups available. Badin Lake Campground has 37 sites, some of which are lakeshore sites. Badin Lake Group Camp has 3 sites, each developed to serve large groups. Deep Water Trail Horse Camp has ample parking and a centrally located toilet. Uwharrie Hunt Camp has 8 primitive camping sites. Wood Run Camp is a primitive camp, accessible by the Uwharrie Trail. Yates Place Campground has campsites with a table and fire ring. East Morris Mountain Camp is a primitive camping area, with 5 sites and a one-quarter acre field. West Morris Mountain Camp has 16 campsites, each with fire grate, lantern post, table, and tent pad. Badin Lake Horse Camp has limited space for camping. Canebrake Horse Camp has 29 sites, each with a parking spur for trailers, table, grill, lantern post, and hitching post.
