This RV campground is located in Vilas, NC, seven miles outside of Boone. It has large, level sites with concrete pads, fire rings, picnic tables, water, sewer, electric and 30 and 50 amp. There are no cable or kid facilities but there is a strong Wi-Fi connection. The office is cluttered and smelly and there is a smell of stagnant water in general. The bathrooms, showers and laundry room are dirty and smelly. The campground is run by an elderly woman who is in way over her head. There are mostly long-term, one to three month, guests. The daily rate is high and the sites are not the best. Despite the negatives, the campground is convenient to Boone, has a quiet and pastoral setting, and the owner is very friendly. It is a great base for exploring the area and visitors may return in the future.
