St. Clair Campground is a family-owned campground located in the middle of the Outer Banks, in the little community of Rodanthe, NC. This campground is the perfect spot for RVers and tent campers alike, offering beautiful sunsets on the sound, excellent wifi, and a peaceful atmosphere. The shower house is exceptionally clean and hot water is included. The owner is friendly and helpful, even offering to help with a tire that seemed low on air. The nightly rate is very reasonable, at $50 per night including water and electrical hook-up. The campground is well maintained and the sites are fairly tight, but there are a few trees in the front portion that break up the campsites. Be aware that the area shuts down early November and doesnt reopen until mid April, and in the winter there is only one small gas station and deli. Be prepared to get stranded here in spring and fall because the main highway NC 12 frequently washes out.

St. Clair Landing Family Campground offers SOUNDFRONT and SOUNDSIDE camping sites. Campground facilities include Wi-fi, laundry, bathhouse, outdoor showers with hot water, and on-site dump station. Pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times. The campground offers tent sites with no water or electric, water/electric sites with 30 or 50 AMP hook-ups available, and full hook-up sites with 30 AMP hook-up and sewer. The site fee includes 2 adults and 2 kids under 12, 1 RV/tent, and 1 vehicle. Additional fees apply for extra adults, tents, vehicles, and rigs 34ft and up. The campground is open for overnight camping from April 1st to November 30th.
