Tuckaseegee RV Resort in Whittier, NC is a beautiful and peaceful place to camp in the Great Smoky Mountains area. The campground is well maintained and very clean, and its sites are easy to back into, providing electric, water, and sewer hookups. The river view is just amazing, so set up your camp chairs at the back of your site and enjoy the wildlife, especially the Canadian geese that navigate the river for hours. The park is shaded, with nice and private lots, each featuring a picnic table and fire pit. The owners and staff are friendly and ready to help, and theres a laundry facility and camp store available, along with excellent bathrooms and showers. The only downside is the highway noise from US 74, yet the peaceful beauty of the mountains and river more than compensate for any inconvenience.
