GenieSummary

Turtle River State Park is the perfect destination for those looking for a peaceful camping experience close to home in northeast North Dakota. The park features beautiful mature ash trees for a nice shady camp spot, large, level and secluded sites, and lovely wide trails for biking and hiking. The Turtle River runs through the park, making it a great spot for fishing and other river activities. The park staff are friendly and helpful, and they keep the park well maintained. Unfortunately, the campsites can get quite crowded during special events, and the roads and campsites are quite close together. There is no swimming pool or lake, but there are plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and other activities.
