What others are saying about this campground
The Campground is located in a North Dakota State Park near the Canadian border. It is a 4 season playground with a ski park, public beach access, hiking trails, snowmobile trails, and the International Peace Gardens nearby. The campground has a variety of sites, including tents, RVs, and cars, and a pump station is available. There are picnic and BBQ areas, a large body of water with amenities such as fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and a swim beach. The park staff are friendly and helpful and the Old Oak interpretive trail is a nice walk. The North Star primitive sites have a water spigot and vault toilet. The terrain is easygoing with great views and occasionally some wildlife. The campsites are close together but have trees and natural grasses for privacy. The North Hill campground is small, quiet, and perfect proximity to the water. There is a Walmart within 25 minutes drive and an annual pass is available for $35. The park has a brand new bathroom and shower facility and mosquito control is surprisingly good. The only downside is that the sites share water faucets and the trails are not well marked.
