Lewis & Clark State Park in Epping, ND is a serene state park that offers a great camping experience with spacious, FHU pull-through campsites. Plover Loop is recommended if you have a big rig. The park is generally quiet with lots of trails for you and your pet to explore and enjoy. The swimming area is also a great spot to cool off and relax. There is a bathhouse available on-site, but we cannot comment on its condition. In terms of wildlife, there have been issues with hornets being prevalent on the grounds, causing some travelers to have negative experiences. Despite this, Lewis & Clark State Park remains a great option for those seeking a tranquil camping experience.

Lewis & Clark State Park is located on the north shore of Lake Sakakawea, surrounded by the rugged buttes of the North Dakota Badlands. The park offers campsites, seasonal lodging, and picnic shelters for rent. Visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and water activities like canoeing and kayaking. The park also has an amphitheater, boat ramp, dog park, fish cleaning station, marina, sewage dump station, and swim beach. The park hosts several events throughout the year, including Christmas in July, Family Fun Weekend, and Flannel Fest.
