Silver Lake is a public park owned by Sargent County and is well known as a family retreat with facilities for swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, camping, volleyball and relaxing. The park includes a handicap fishing pier, boat docks on both the north and south side of the lake, swimming beach, bathhouse, picnic shelter, BBQ grills, playground, primitive camping, and RV camping with electricity and dump station available. The lake covers approximately 100 acres of land and is fed by the Wild Rice River. Silver Lake has a man-made dam that creates a natural reservoir for northern pike, crappie, perch, and walleye in depths up to 14 feet for the enthusiastic fisherman. Rates are $10 per night for tents and $20 per night for RV's. A weekly rate of $90 for RV's and $50 for tents is also available. The primitive area rates are $15 per night for RV's and $5 per night for tents. RV/trailer portable disposal service is available. No reservations accepted. This facility officially opens yearly from May 1st - October 1st. Pavilion available for rent $100/day ($100 deposit).
