What others are saying about this campground
Fort Stevenson State Park is a beautiful campground located on the banks of Lake Sakakawea in Garrison, North Dakota. It offers a variety of camping options, from tent and camper sites to RV sites with full hookups. There are multiple swimming beaches, playgrounds, an ice cream and general store, and boat rentals available. The park is surrounded by beautiful lakes and fields of wheat, and offers excellent mountain biking and hiking trails. There is a fun playground for the kids and an amazing hiking trail around the entire state park. The sites are spacious and pull-through capable of handling any size rig. There is no comfort station within the loop, but sewer is provided at the site. Natural vegetation consisting of native trees and shrubs is abundant. Power is good and water pressure is a little low. The park is very big rig friendly and extremely well kept. It is busy on the weekends with locals enjoying the use of the lake. Satellite TV connections can be difficult to obtain, but over the air reception of the major networks and PBS stations is excellent. This is a great spot for boating, fishing, and swimming, and is perfect for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
