Memorial Park is a great place for camping, located 9 miles northwest of LaMoure. It has 30 AMP electrical hookups, water hookups, and remodeled restrooms and showers. The park is peaceful and quiet, with lots of shade and a new playground for the kids. Just across the access road is the James River, making it a very relaxing and quiet spot. Firewood is delivered by the caretaker and the nightly fee is on an honor system. There is also an 18 hole golf course/clubhouse only a mile away and theatre performances at certain times of year. The roads leading to the park involve several miles on a gravel road, but the park is worth the journey.

LaMoure County Memorial Park is settled along the bends of the James River and offers modern camping facilities, electrical hook ups, modern showers and restrooms, a baseball field, basketball court, volleyball net, and playground equipment. The park also has a kitchen/dining hall, canteen, bunkhouse-style cabins, and auditorium building available for rent. Family reunions, private parties, hunters, and groups are welcome. The park has hosted several events such as pioneer days, car shows, and softball tournaments. The Memorial Park Country Club golf course is within walking distance. The LaMoure County Museum is also located within the park and has a two-story building full of history as well as a one-room schoolhouse, country church, and annex full of larger artifacts.
