This campground is located in a remote and peaceful area, surrounded by the Sheyenne National Grasslands. It is a great place for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The campground is relatively clean, but there are some wrappers on the ground, fire rings littered and full of ashes and partially burnt wood. The sites are long and level, with full hookups and 50 amp service. The owner is very nice and helpful. There is a small corral for horses across from the campers. The roads to the campground are gravel, and can be a bit bumpy, but the ride is worth it for the peaceful, wooded surroundings. The sites are grassy and not level, but they have plenty of room for RVs and plenty of space between neighbors. There is a clean restroom with washer and dryer, and a merchandise area to buy items. There are lots of horses, and the scenery is beautiful. Cell service is spotty, but there is no wifi. The nearest town with services is Fargo, which is about 42 miles away.

Sheyenne Oaks RV Park & Campground is a maple tree covered campground offering electrical hookup sites, non-electric sites, and two rustic cabins. The campground has 12x12 corrals to accommodate guests traveling with horses. It is located 45 miles SW of Fargo, ND and offers access to 70,000 acres of federal land and 123 acres of private land. The campground is perfect for hiking, biking, horse riding, bird watching, canoeing, kayaking, hunting, and fishing.
