This campground is a great option for active duty and retired service members looking for a peaceful and affordable place to stay. The campground is small, with only six sites, and is first come first serve. The sites are concrete pads with electric and water hookups, but they are far from level. There are no showers, but visitors can go to the base gym for showers. The campground is close to the BX and Commissary, and is situated at the end of the base near a large park and running track. It is a great location, but nothing over the top. There are very bright lights at the edge of the campground which can be a problem if your bedroom is right under one of them. The camp is perfect for an overnight stay, with a very affordable rate of $10.00. The dump station is well maintained and there is a flush hose for cleaning tanks. The staff is very helpful and accommodating.

North Dakota Military Campgrounds & RV Parks is an official army family and MWR site that offers camping and RV parks for eligible patrons. The site has two locations: Grand Forks AFB - FAM Camping and Minot AFB - FAM Camping. Grand Forks AFB - FAM Camping offers 21 RV sites with full hookups and 40 tent sites. The site accepts Air Force Frequent Camper Program discounts, Golden Access and Golden Age Passports. Pets are allowed on leash. Amenities include a bath house, restrooms, grills, picnic area, laundry, pool, and boat rental. Minot AFB - FAM Camping offers 6 RV sites with water, electric, and sewer hookups. Pets are allowed on leash. Amenities include a dump station, restrooms, grills, picnic area, playground, laundry, and pools. Both locations do not require advance reservations and are open seasonally.
