Governors Inn Campground is a small, basic campground located in the East. It is currently closed due to flooding, but the owners are present and self-registration is available. The campground has large trees that provide a nice visual and noise barrier, and the outdoor area is slightly unkempt but not bad. The price for a full hookup, pull through site reflects the Good Sam discount and is $22. The bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, and the on-site store offers many conveniences as well as fuel. There is no pool, no WiFi, and cell phone and air card service is inconsistent. The campground is a great place to watch wildlife, and maneuvering a big rig is possible but tight. The owners are friendly and helpful and make guests feel welcome.
