Meramec Campground is conveniently located less than 5 minutes from I-44, making it an ideal place for RV travelers. The campground has pull-through gravel pads with full hookups that work fine. There are two clean bathhouses on the premises, but one of them lacks a fixture for toilet papers. The sites have large trees that provide ample shade, which is great for those who prefer such a setting. The campground has a pool, a small store, and a dog park. Wifi is available and works reasonably well for most campers. Staying in a well-shaded electric and water-only site is ideal, but campers may have to use blocks to level them out. Although most showers and bathrooms were clean, some require improvements. The campground staff was friendly, helpful, and patrolled the area frequently, providing a sense of security. Complimentary fresh-popped popcorn and freshly baked cookies are available in the office, which is a nice touch. Some campers have had trouble leveling their motorhomes and trailers and found the sites too close to each other. Overall, Meramec Campground is a decent stopover for RV travelers, and with some upgrading, it could be an excellent camping spot for many tourists.
