This campground is a great option for those looking for a convenient and family-friendly camping experience. It is located just 5 miles from Athens, Ohio and offers 136 acres of lake with plenty of activities such as camping, boating, fishing, picnicking and swimming. There are many water supply hydrants located throughout the camp, and several sites are within a 100 foot hose reach. The sites are primarily sharp crushed stone and closely spaced, most with a slight to moderate grade. The Hilltop loop offers a few transient spots for large rigs and is surrounded by hickory and oak trees. The bath house is functional but poorly maintained, with windows open with cranks removed during cold temps and no toilet paper. There is no pad for a picnic table, so it is not usable due to the wet and muddy ground. The campground offers a fun, family festival with bands, kids activities, and Pawpaw beer for the adults.
