The Ohio Turnpike - Middle Ridge Service Plaza in Amherst,OH is a nice place to stop for the night for RVs with electric hookups. The lot is small and may not accommodate long trucks and trailers; however, each site is wide enough to park a Jeep and have slides out. All sites are back-in with a cost of $20 cash at the kiosk. Security periodically drives around to check for receipts. Road noise may be an issue, but fans can help sound out the noise. The travel center was nice with a few different options to eat, and each site has access to a dump station and potable water. Its a perfect overnight option when traveling, and many visitors would stay here or other Service Areas in Ohio again. The fact that Ohio has these RV specific locations is wonderful, and many felt safe during their stay.

The Ohio Turnpike RV lots offer 10 back-in RV parking spaces that can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet in length. The Middle Ridge and Vermilion Valley Service Plazas at Milepost 139.5 in Amherst Ohio offer community rooms that are available for reservation any day of the week from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. The venues can accommodate 30 people classroom style and 40 people theater style. There is no rental fee to use a community room; However, a $50 refundable security deposit is required prior to reserving the room. The Ohio Turnpike RV lots and community rooms are conveniently located for your next business meeting or conference. The plazas can be accessed from the Turnpike and by the local public roads. There is ample parking inside the plazas for Turnpike travelers and outside guest parking for those accessing the plazas via local roadways.
