Pymatuning State Park is a beautiful park located on the Ohio/Pennsylvania border. It is similar to most Ohio state parks and provides clean bathrooms and showers for guests. The campground offers plentiful spots for both RV and tent camping. Most, if not all sites, have a breathtaking view of the lake and Pennsylvania shoreline across it. The campgrounds can get busy, but the crew is efficient at maintaining the grounds and attending to camper needs. Many of the lakefront sites are full hook-up, and the FHU sites in the central section are new within the last two years. Pymatuning State Park is an excellent fishing spot, and the boat ramps are conveniently located within the campground. Some nearby Amish shops are great for exploring, but there are few grocery stores nearby. Visitors enjoy feeding the carp and spotting bald eagles, as well as enjoying the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Visitors should be aware that there is more than one campsite and beach within the park and review the paper maps of both Ohio and Pennsylvania park regions to avoid confusion.
