The lake offers a swimming beach and paddle boats, and there are plenty of hiking trails to explore. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and will provide tips about local attractions. Unfortunately, the sites are not level and the sewer connections are often inaccessible. Additionally, the seasonal campers and their cluttered sites can be unappealing. The pool is small, and the lake is not particularly inviting. There is also a lot of golf cart and dog traffic, which can be aggravating. Despite these issues, the campground is still a nice place to stay, with friendly owners and plenty of activities.

Timberline Lake Camping Resort is a family-owned and operated campground in the heart of the Jersey Pine Barrens. Boasting 130 acres and 185 shaded and wooded campsites, the resort offers a tranquil camping experience to families. The campground is conveniently located just 25 minutes away from the excitement of the Atlantic City casinos and boardwalk. Timberline Lake Camping Resort offers a true “back to nature” vacation in a relaxing and peaceful setting within minutes of bustling activity. The resort offers lakefront and wooded daily campsites, cabin rentals, and seasonal sites. Amenities include free WiFi, clean restrooms, hot showers, laundry facility, camp store, dump station, portable dumping service, free expanded cable TV, gated entry, large swimming pool, lake swimming, dog park and beach, fishing in stocked lake for catfish, pickerel, blue gill, and bass, canoe and kayak rentals, free use of Ocean City beach tags, after-hours security, game room and arcade, recreation field for sports, free use of sports equipment, horseshoe pits, basketball court, volleyball courts, playgrounds, theme-based weekend activities, hayrides, and more.
