The Ross County Fairgrounds offer a peaceful and scenic camping experience. With easy access, wide open spaces, electric and water hookups, and grassy, level sites, this campground is perfect for a short or long stay. The fairgrounds are located a few miles outside of Chillicothe, with a convenience store and gas station nearby. There is a dump station on site, and the water pressure is great. The sites are grassy and can accommodate a variety of vehicles, but if it rains much, the wet grass can be slippery. There are a few noisy planes and trains passing in the distance, but overall it is very quiet. During the fair and Labor Day weekend, all campsites must be reserved in advance. The only downside is that there is no restroom or bath house, but it is a great place to stay for a night or two.
