GenieSummary
This campground is an older Ohio state park located 15 miles west of Lancaster on US 22 almost to Circleville. It is a great spot for fishing, with small mouth fishing reported to be good. The campground has narrow and short sites, with few being level, and a road leading down to the lake for launching kayaks and canoes. There is a nice restroom on the road coming in and portajohns around the campground, as well as a dump station and a couple of places to get water. The camper pads are too narrow with drop offs that can cause you to twist your ankles, and the sites are very muddy when it rains. There is no shower facility, and the camp store was not open when we arrived. The roads and trees were put there with smaller units in mind, and the sites are very close together, so privacy is limited. This is a great spot for fishing and relaxing, but plan on bringing boots for the mud.
