Carthage Gap is a family-run campground located in Coolville, Ohio. It is tucked away in a secluded area, yet easily accessible from the highway. The grounds are well-maintained and feature a variety of sites for both full-time and transient campers. There are long gravel pull-throughs and grass back-ins, all with full hook-ups and access to water, power, and sewer. The campground also has a picnic table, fire ring, and WiFi and cell service. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and will even escort you to your site. There are a few nearby attractions, such as Larrys Pizza and a Dollar Store, as well as two fishing lakes and woodland areas. The campground also hosts a variety of events, such as archery clinics and an annual hog roast. Be aware that the entrance/exit is a one-lane road and that there is a neighboring property where race cars are being built and tested, which can cause noise and dust.
