Carthage Gap is a family-run campground nestled in the middle of some great Southeast Ohio motorcycle roads. The sites are FHU on hardpacked, crushed gravel pads, with some pull throughs. The sites are fairly level, easily accessible and big rig friendly. The owners take pride in keeping the campground tidy and they do not seem to put up with any nonsense. The campground is well-maintained and the owners enjoy making guests feel welcome. There is an ice cream truck that rolls through the campground at 9 pm on a Saturday night. The park is close to Go Mart and Dollar Store, and Larrys Pizza will deliver. The entrance/exit is a one lane road and can be a bit tricky to navigate. The site was large, fairly level, had all the hook ups, fire ring, and picnic table. The lady told us dont worry about check out time, leave when youre ready. The park is not really set-up for bigger rigs, and there is not much in the area to see or visit.
