What others are saying
White Star Park Campground in Gibsonburg, OH, is a great stop if you are looking for a community campground with a lake nearby. On weekends, the campground is bustling with families and scuba divers. The bathing facilities are well-maintained and have clean facilities. The campground sites are open and spacious, but provide limited shade. The front sites might face some road noise, yet the spot offers a quarry across the road with many activities like swimming, fishing, walking trails, and a playground. The roads within the campground are paved and most campsites are paved, including many back-in sites with 30 amp service and some pull-thru sites with 50 amp service. The staff is courteous, and you can check-in with your confirmed reservations and proper identification. Every site has a fire ring and picnic table, with wood available for purchase at the entrance. However, there are no lantern/trash poles, and the CG provides a dumpster in the vicinity. The campsites are plenty long and wide and generally level. Each site has a water point, and there are dump stations at the entrance/exit. The bathhouse is well-maintained and relatively new, with clean showers and outside entrances that you can lock. Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi in the park; however, those with AT&T and Verizon have a strong cellular signal. Over-the-air channels can be hard to catch. Nonetheless, the location boasts outstanding nature views and outdoor activities that will make your stay a memorable one.
