From The Campground
Burr Oak Cove Campground is a small densely wooded campground on the northwest tip of Burr Oak Reservoir in Athens County. The campground has 19 camping units, including walk-in sites which offer additional seclusion to the camper looking for solitude. Amenities include accessible sites, tent camping, camping trailer, picnic tables, toilets, drinking water, and parking. The campground is open from early spring to winter and fees are $15 per night for standard sites, $10 per night when water is turned off, and $10 per night for walk-in campsites. Activities include camping, fishing, and hiking. The adjacent Burr Oak Reservoir is within a short distance of this campground and a hiking trail accesses the lake so campers can hike down and fish in this large reservoir. The Lake View Trail is a short one mile hike down to Burr Oak Lake. The campground is operated by Athens Ranger District.
