Indian Lake State Park is a great family-friendly destination for camping, swimming, fishing, boating, and relaxing. The park offers large, grassy campsites with plenty of room to spread out, as well as a beach, inground swimming pool, boat launch, and a camp store with lots of accessories. The campground is well-stocked, but the firewood is not the best quality. Despite the large number of campers, the park is still relatively quiet and peaceful, with starry nights and plenty of wildlife. The park hosts are friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and the nearby town offers a variety of restaurants and activities. Unfortunately, the trails can be confusing and the mosquitos can be fierce, even with bug spray. The campground is also lacking in tree coverage, so campers may feel like they are camping with their neighbors.
