Hiking trails are overgrown and difficult to follow, but very peaceful and great for wildlife viewing. Creek is great for fishing and kayaking, although the water was a bit low this time. Great for Civil War Reenactment, too. Dark enough at night to see stars, and you can hear owls and coyotes. Beaver Creek Family Campground is a small, rustic campground located on Leslie Road. It has limited hookups and a few sites with electric, but it is very well taken care of. The campground is sparsely populated, so visitors will have plenty of privacy. The trails around the campground are beautiful and peaceful, but can be overgrown and difficult to follow. The creek that runs through the area is a popular spot for fishing and kayaking, although the water can be low at times. Nearby is a pioneer village with original buildings from the pioneer days, such as a church and school. The campground is also a great spot for Civil War Reenactment, and it is dark enough at night to see the stars. Visitors can also hear the sounds of owls and coyotes in the evening. There is no running water, but there is a vault toilet and limited well water.
