Hune Bridge Campground is a beautiful spot located on the banks of the Little Muskingum River in Ohio. The campground offers a quiet scenic place to watch the river and has a view of the historic Hune Bridge, which often reflects back on the Little Muskingum below. The campground is shaded by the surrounding woods and offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, backpacking, nature viewing, and non-motorized boating. The site also has two interpretive panels that explain the history of the covered bridge and the oil and gas industry in the local area. The campground is a great place to view wildlife, including birds, riverine creatures, fish, frogs, and other bottomland wildlife. The river is subject to seasonal low water, but canoers can paddle under covered bridges which have spanned the river for over a century. Trailer parking is not available, but there is a parking area and dirt banks for launch ramps. The campground is a great place to enjoy the beauty of Ohio's countryside and learn about its history.
