Lake Hope SP is a rustic campground located in the Hocking Hills area of Ohio. It is a great place to go for a quiet camping experience with plenty of activities and programs available at the nature center. The sites are narrow and barely long enough for RVs and motorhomes no bigger than 25 feet. There are no pull-throughs and the sites are 90 degrees off the road, making it difficult to maneuver into the spot. The hills are too steep for small children and the trail maintenance is not good, so there are downed trees and other obstacles to watch out for. The showers are clean and have plenty of hot water, but are old style with a single common changing area. The pit toilets and shower house are dirty and in need of repair or replacement. There is a pit toilet right near the cul-de-sac area, and the odor can sometimes blow into the campsite. I would avoid this park if your camper is longer than 25 ft.
