This campground is large and quiet, with plenty of room between sites. It is located near an official DARK SKY astronomy center, making it ideal for star gazing. Unfortunately, there is a lot of storm damage that is still being cleaned up and there are muddy lots in lower areas. The pond has leaches and there are a lot of geese droppings, which the workers rake into the sand. There is no one available to answer the phone on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the list of rules is a bit over the top. The gravel lots have grass surrounding them, and there is a dump station and truck available to empty tanks for a fee. Unfortunately, the workers do not pay attention to the speed limit, raising clouds of dust as they pass.
