This campground is a great place for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. It offers a variety of sites, from full hookup for campers to accommodations for several tents. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as swimming at the beach or lodge pool, frisbee golf, horseback riding, hiking, boating, and more. The campground is easy to get to before dark and the back-in sites are perfect for larger rigs. The dump station can be hard to navigate on Sunday mornings when the line is backed up. Comfort Stations (flush toilets) and Shower Houses are scattered throughout the grounds and are usually close by. There is a secret fishing spot by site 166 and public fishing spots between the campground and the beach. Keep in mind that some campers stay up late with loud music and lights, and the campground is packed with top dollar prices. The bathrooms and shower houses could use some updating, and the campers should clean up after themselves. The gnats can be unbearable and the water in the lake is down a lot. However, the park is peaceful and relaxing and the night sky reveals plenty of stars and satellites.
