Forked Run State Park is a great place to camp and explore the outdoors. The park offers a 400-foot sand beach, boat ramp, and a disc golf course. The campsites are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, the bathrooms are old and not well maintained, and the pit toilets can be quite dirty. The lake is a great spot for swimming and fishing, but the beach can get quite crowded with locals leaving trash behind. There are hiking trails from the camp sites to the beach area, and the park is a great place to spend time around a campfire. The park is also great for tent camping, but the sites can be short and difficult to level. There is no water hookup, but there is a place to fill tanks on each drinking fountain.
