Kiser Lake is a hidden gem for those who enjoy camping in a quiet, low traffic environment. It is the perfect spot for those who want to get away from the crowds and prefer nature. The campground offers one spot for camping that is secluded and has tree coverage, as well as short hiking trails, a beautiful lake, and a marina with canoe and kayak rentals. The downside is that there is no running water or showers, and the pit toilets can be smelly. During the fall, it is best to avoid the back of the campground under the walnut trees. The campground also offers various activities for kids, such as Halloween activities, play areas, and a wetlands. Fishing and kayaking are popular activities, but be sure to keep your pets off of the nature preserve trails. However, if you are from Ohio and have a golden buckeye card, you can get 50% off during the week if you reserve online. Be aware that the bathrooms can be very unpleasant due to the smell and the flies, and the campground can attract a rowdy crowd.
