This campground is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. Located close to Oak Openings State Forest, it offers both trailer and tent sites, as well as annual sites. Its a great spot for bird watching and fishing, and is also a short drive away from shopping and dining. The owners are friendly and accommodating, and even saved a pull-through spot for a newbie with a fifth wheel. The campground is well maintained, with the owners regularly making rounds on carts to pick up trash and deliver firewood. They also offer a honey wagon service for dumping tanks. The majority of sites are seasonal, and the seasonal guests are exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering tips on local restaurants and places to visit. The campground also offers free WiFi, although it is not always reliable. There are lots of trees and shade, making it a great spot to socialize with other campers. While the check-in process is laid back, the campground is located between a swamp and a fishing hole, so it may not be the best destination for long stays.

Bluegrass Campground is a friendly local campground located in Swanton, Ohio. It is adjacent to great hiking and horseback-riding trails and is conveniently located near popular attractions such as the Toledo Zoo, Toledo Museum, Fifth Third Field, and Oak Openings Metropark. The campground offers a safe, family-oriented environment in a gated setting. They welcome all types of campers, from tent campers to those in pop-ups, Class Bs, or Class A motorhomes. The campground features a crystal clear pond for swimming and a hall for playing pool. They have been serving campers since 2001 and offer a friendly, quiet, and beautiful setting for a peaceful night's stay.
