White Oak Campground is a hidden gem located near the Oak Openings region of Ohio. It is a great spot for campers to park their car and explore the 15.5 mile Scout Trail loop, which runs right through the campground. The campground is nicely kept, with five individual sites and two group sites. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and flat sand pads for tents. Firewood is free, and there is a dish washing station with a huge sink and hot water. Bathrooms with flush toilets are also available. The campground is relatively peaceful, although there is some road noise from the nearby state highway and airplanes taking off from the Toledo airport. There are also free showers available at the Beach Ridge area of the park.

White Oak Campground is a primitive campground located in Oak Openings Preserve Metropark. It has eight individual and two group campsites for tent camping. Only tent camping is permitted. The fee is per night for an individual site. Group campsites can accommodate five tents and 25 people. Each site individual campsite can accommodates up to two tents and 8 people. The campground observes designated quiet time of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Camping is available all year.
