Lake Murray State Park is the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Located in Oklahoma, this campground offers a variety of activities such as hiking, fishing, biking, and more. The campground features full hookups, fire rings, and a golf course. The sites are level and have plenty of grass, with approximately one-half of the sites having full hookups and concrete pads. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the park is well-maintained with regular trash pickup and clean restrooms. The boat ramp is conveniently located and there is easy access to the water for the kids and dogs. Unfortunately, you cannot select or reserve a campsite in advance, so people with large RVs should arrive at an off-time or make backup plans. The downside is that it can be hard to see the lake from a lot of the camp sites because of the trees and brush. The back in sites can be tight and difficult to back into, and there is no place to sit in your own chairs much less setup and feel like you have your own space. However, for those looking for a beautiful, well-maintained campground, Lake Murray State Park is a great option.

Lake Murray State Park is Oklahoma's first and largest state park consisting of 12,500 acres of forested, rolling hills around beautiful Lake Murray. The park's diverse terrain, exceptional trails and historic sites make Lake Murray State Park a favorite destination among outdoor, water sport and ATV riding enthusiasts. Staying at the park is easy with your choice between RV and tent campgrounds, 56 cabins dotted throughout beautiful Lake Murray State Park and a modern lodge. For a more secluded experience, book one of the park's 56 cabins, many of which are historic structures built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. These state park cabins feature everything from cozy cottages for two up to large family-size cabins. For a small fee, pets are allowed in select cabins. Lake Murray Lodge features 32 rooms and all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Choose from rooms with one king-size with sofa sleeper or two queen-size beds all with stunning views of the lake. Lodge guests can also have hours of fun at the outdoor pool and splash pad area. Lake Murray Lodge offers a total of seven meeting areas, from the 4,168 sq. ft. Bald Eagle Ballroom to smaller board rooms. Banquet catering and audio/visual equipment are also available. When it’s time to get outside, fishing, boating and a variety of water sports are enjoyed on the 5,728 surface acres of Lake Murray. Outdoor activities include golf, picnicking, camping, trail riding, hayrides, hiking, swimming, miniature golf and paddle boating. Sports facilities include a golf course, tennis courts, and softball and baseball fields. With nearly 1,000 acres of trails for ATVs, motorcycles and dirt bikes, thrill-seekers have plenty of terrain to adventure. The park also has an extensive trail system for hikers and mountain bikers. Golfers of all ages and abilities enjoy the well-manicured and challenging Lake Murray State Park Golf Course. This 18-hole golf course features towering oak trees, tree-lined fairways, strategically placed water hazards and a breathtaking natural waterfall.
