Route 66 RV Park in Elk City, Oklahoma is an older park with what appears to be lots of long-term residents. Despite its older appearance, the facilities are clean and well-maintained. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, making them a major plus when calling ahead to make inquires or reservations. While the park could use a major revamp or upgrade, the concrete and level parking pads are still functional. The full hook-up worked without issue, though the restrooms and shower areas had coed setups and no benches to lay clothes on. The laundry is reasonably priced and convenient, although the clientele of the park seems to be mostly long-term tenants and fewer tourists. The park is located near a grocery store and a great discount store, making it a convenient stop for travelers on their way to Santa Fe or other destinations. The park is just off I-40, and it might be worth a stop, especially for Route 66 museum right across the street. Despite some issues with broken asphalt and puddles throughout the park, our site was level and functional.
