Johnson Creek Campground is a great place to stay for those looking for a relaxing getaway. Enjoy stunning views of the lake from your campsite, and take advantage of the small beach area for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and more. Navigating the narrow roadways can be difficult, so be sure to park your vehicle properly. The friendly staff and park ranger are onsite 3-4 times a day to help with any questions or concerns. In October, the lake can be hot, muggy, and mosquito infested, so be sure to bring the necessary bug repellent. The campground is close to highway 70, so there is some traffic noise, but the sites are well maintained and spacious. There is a 50% discount for those with a Golden Age passport, and the campground offers 50a Electric, a dump station, and water @ 100 psi. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card is available, but not as fast as AT&T. Be aware that there are no checks on campers, so dogs may run loose and you should watch for aggressive animals. There are no showers available, but the website said there were.
