This no-frills campground is conveniently located just a few miles north of Muskogee and is a great spot for an overnight stay. The park is full of full-time campers, many of which are run down, and is surrounded by junked cars and dilapidated homemade structures. Cats roam the campground and several dogs run unleashed, so be sure to watch your step in the grassy areas. The sites are narrow and gravel, and need additional gravel in some areas. The internet is weak and no password is provided at check-in. The park is dark after sunset, but surprisingly quiet. There is a cell tower nearby, so Verizon and AT&T phones work well. The spur railroad track runs along the edge of the park, but there is only one train per day between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. There are no recreational facilities, but there is a low-cost laundry and restrooms with one shower each. Bakers Fish House is worth a visit, located two miles north of the park.
