From The Campground

Skipout Campground is located in Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands. It offers twelve camping units for public use, with centralized potable water and two vault toilets. Two picnic shelters are available for day use, and a dirt hiking trail, less than 2 miles in length, winds around Skipout Lake. Boating is allowed on the lake, with a 5 mph speed limit and a concrete boat ramp available. The campground is open year-round and is operated by the Forest Service.
