Buckhorn Campground is located in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, Oklahoma. It offers over 100 campsites spread out over several loops, each with full electric and water hookups, nice even pads, large paved drives, lantern hooks, picnic tables, and grills. The campground is surrounded by plenty of trees for privacy and shade, and the ranger makes frequent drives through the loops for added safety and security. There is a nature center, two springs, some small waterfalls, and a 2.9- mile paved path around Veteran’s Lake, all located a short drive away. The campground is also just moments from the Chickasaw Cultural Center, a location which hosts many Native American educational events, stomp dance exhibitions and festivals for the community of Sulphur. Buckhorn Campground is the perfect place to get away, relax, and do a little hiking and/or boating.
