The sites were well maintained and level. Boiling Springs State Park is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway. Located near Woodward, Oklahoma, the park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and features large, shady trees, spacious sites, and plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and relaxing. The majority of the sites are RV sites, but there are also some tent sites in the Whitetail Campground. All trails are dog-friendly and dogs are allowed in most buildings as long as they are on a 10 foot leash. The park also has a swimming pool a mile away, playgrounds, and a ranger office. The full hookup sites include a concrete pad, 50 amp power, table, bbq, and fire ring. The sites are well maintained, level, and large, and there are plenty of trees for shade. The park is also close to Woodward, which has restaurants and other amenities. The only downside is that there is a major train line nearby, so you may hear horns multiple times a night.
From The Campground
Boiling Springs State Park is an oasis on the plains, capturing some of the finest elements of nature. The park is one of seven original state parks built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Visitors can view the park's namesake attraction in a natural wooden shelter and interpretive center below the park office. The park offers RV, cabins, and tent campsites, as well as two group camps. Guests can enjoy swimming in the pool, fishing in the 7-acre spring-fed Shaul Lake, hiking the trails, and playing golf at the privately-owned and operated Boiling Springs Golf Club adjacent to the park.
