Emigrant Lake RV Park is a great spot to stay in Ashland, Oregon, just 6 miles from downtown and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The park offers full hookup RV sites, shaded grassy tent sites, a summer water park, a clean day use Pavilion with a new playground and endless boating, fishing and water activities. The sites have picnic tables, fire pits, and amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The RV sites have level asphalt pads, new sewer connections, and are spacious enough to accommodate any size rig. Verizon air card and cell phone service work well, but there is no WiFi. The camp hosts are friendly and efficient, and the gate guard is also very helpful. There is a long wait to get parked, so it is best to make a reservation in advance. The tent area is wooded, with no hookups but a dump station. The area around the sites is full of little prickly sticker weeds that can get into your clothes and onto your pets. There is also a risk of earwigs, so it is best to keep containers and camp chairs closed when not in use. The lake is very multi-use, and there are plenty of people fishing, boating, paddle boarding, and swimming. The power is good, and the campground is very quiet at night. The only downside is the sewer smell that can be present in the middle of the day.
