Chief Miwaleta campground is a great place for a peaceful getaway. The campground is located on the shores of Galesville reservoir and offers full hookup sites with 50/30/20 amp service, water, and sewer. The sites are all paved and fairly level, and some even have an additional paved area to park your vehicle. The scenery is beautiful, with lots of Douglas fir trees providing plenty of shade in the heat. The lake is low but still offers plenty of fun activities such as swimming, fishing, and boating. There are also cabins to rent and a great play area for kids. The restrooms are spotless and offer warm water sinks, flush toilets, hot showers, and heaters/fans that come on automatically on cold mornings and nights. There are no trails around the reservoir to hike with dogs, but the campground is quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.
