What others are saying about this campground
Loeb State Park is a great campground for those looking for a peaceful getaway on the Oregon Coast. Located just steps away from the Chetco River, the campground offers plenty of activities for all types of campers, from tent camping and RV camping to cabin camping and tent-trailering. The park is also close to the ocean beaches, a Redwood Natural Trailhead loop, and the town of Brookings for any forgotten supplies or meals. The sites are well spread out, providing plenty of privacy, and the park is well-maintained by the hosts. Amenities include flush toilets, no-fee showers, a sand volleyball court, and plenty of blackberries. At night, the campground can get a bit loud, so it may not be the best for those looking for a quiet stay. However, it is a great spot for families and those looking for a fun and active camping experience.

From The Campground
Alfred A. Loeb State Park is a quiet park located in a dense grove of ancient Myrtlewood trees along the Chetco River, eight miles inland from Oregon's southern coastline. The park offers several campsites and three rental cabins facing the scenic river. During the year, visitors can fish, swim, raft, or walk the Riverview Nature Trail. The river offers some of the finest fall and winter salmon and steelhead fishing on the south coast. Throughout spring and summer, visitors may see scampering squirrels, soaring osprey, or a family of river otters frolicking in the water. The northern-most redwood grove in the U.S. can be found at the end of the Riverview Nature Trail by crossing the North Bank Road and hiking the 1-mile U.S. Forest Service Redwood Loop.
