Chetco River Campground is located in the Pacific Northwest National Forests and offers a variety of recreational activities including camping, fishing, hiking, and non-motorized boating. The campground is situated near several other campgrounds including Redwood Bar, Nook Bar, Miller Bar, South Fork, Loeb State Park, and Harris Beach State Park. The Chetco River is known for its trout and salmon fishing, with anadromous winter steelhead, fall chinook salmon, and sea-run cutthroat trout being the most common species. The river also provides excellent spawning and rearing habitat and has some of the highest salmonid smolt returns of any coastal stream in Oregon. The campground is accessible and offers amenities such as camping and cabins.
