From The Campground
Idlewild Campground is a lightly used campground located just off of US Highway 395 in Malheur National Forest. Constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the campground is a great place for those traveling through who would like a nice quiet place to camp that is easy to reach. The campground has 22 single sites, 3 double sites, and 1 20-50 people group site. It is an excellent stop for travelers heading north or south on US Highway 395. The campground is lightly used and only becomes busy during the fall hunting season. Please pack out what you pack in, there is no trash service provided at this campground.
